LIFE:CHIMES is an interactive installation that is installed in the Figment event in 2018 in Roosevelt island.  The concept of Life:chimes serves as an analogy of the experiences we encounter in life. Life is a fluid process with a lot of possibilities if we are able to imagine and explore. Often times, we have to be active enough to push through the panels to create new paths for ourselves. However, there are also times when our stubbornness leads us into dead ends. It may be easy to lose heart when we focus on the obstruction, but there is always a way out if we look around, explore options and not give up.
Going through life with a playful attitude helps us counteract the inevitable hardships in life as well. The sound aspect of Life:chimes illustrates the need for playfulness with music from toy instruments and that life often surprises us with different experiences at the most unexpected times.
